For students
How do I get my notes?
Your teacher adds your board and sends you an invite link. Open it, sign in with Miro, and press “Join”. There's nothing to add yourself.
Why are my notes out of date?
Class Notes for Miro copies your board only when you ask: press “Sync” after class. A note your teacher later deletes from the board is still kept, marked “removed from board”.
Why does syncing take so long?
Miro can't give apps only what changed since a certain day, so every sync reads your whole board again, from the first lesson. The more lessons on the board, the longer it takes. Your board shows how long the last sync took, so you know what to expect. You can leave the page; the sync carries on.
Why is some writing missing?
Class Notes for Miro keeps typed text: sticky notes, text, and shapes with words in them. Miro doesn't let apps read handwriting, so it isn't kept. Pictures and files are mentioned, but not copied.
How do I keep or print my notes?
Open your notes and press “Download”. Choose the days and a kind of file: a PDF to print or keep, a web page, or Markdown for notes apps. You can also copy a day's notes straight from the page.
How do I find something I learned?
Search the notes for a word, 汉字, or pinyin without tones. You can also name a day, star it, or tag it, to find it again later.
How do I see only my teacher's notes?
Above the notes, “Notes by” chooses whose notes to show: your teacher's, your own, or both.
It says my teacher removed my board.
It no longer syncs, but you can still read and download your notes until the date shown. After that they're deleted from Class Notes for Miro, so download them first.

How do I add a student?
In Miro, open the board you keep for the student and copy its address from the browser. Paste it into “Add a student's board” on your home page. Then copy the invite link and send it to your student by email or chat.
It says the board isn't mine.
You can only add boards you own. Sign out, and sign in with the Miro account that made the board.
Does the invite share my board, or let the app change it?
No. The app only reads your board; it never changes anything in Miro. The invite doesn't change who can open the board in Miro either: your student's Miro account must already be able to open it.
A student stopped studying. What do I do?
Press “Remove…” beside their board. It stops syncing, and your student has 30 days to download their notes before they're deleted. Until then you can restore it.
Why does my board say “Preview only”?
Without a subscription you can add boards and see what the app finds on them. To send your students their invites, and have their notes kept, you need a subscription.
Signing in and syncing
Signing in with Miro didn't work.
On Miro's page, choose the team your lesson board is in, then press the blue “Add” button. If your team belongs to a school or a company, its admin may have to allow apps first. If you pressed “Cancel”, simply sign in again.
It says Miro no longer accepts my sign-in.
Sign out, sign in again, and sync. This can happen if the app was removed in your Miro settings.
A sync didn't finish.
Most often Miro was busy. Wait a minute and sync again. If it keeps failing, write to us with a screenshot.
How do I change the language?
Choose it in the menu with the globe, at the top of every page.
